The Homestead
Welcome to my homepage! I don't know how you got here, but I sure hope you'll enjoy your visit. There's something for everybody here at The Homestead.

What's going on in the world? How's the weather going to be tomorrow? Check out The Newsstand. Find links to newspapers and magazines from across the country and around the world. Even sports and weather. Remember the reference desk at your local library? Well, we've got one here... just click on Reference Library.

Do you like webcams? Wanna see traffic or weather conditions in exotic (or not so exotic) locales around the world. Then check out The World Webcam Directory. I've put together links to thousands of live cameras in every corner of the globe. There are outdoor and indoor cameras, office cameras and cameras in people's homes. You've gotta check this out !

Whether you're a fellow road-geek or you just enjoy travelling, you'll want to visit The Road. You can find all kinds of information on the Interstate and U.S. Highway Systems, links to state D.O.T. websites, and assorted other neat topics. The Georgia Roads Website provides more information than you could ever want about, well, Georgia's state highway system.

There's a page spotlighting my hometown: LaGrange, Georgia. It's known as America's Greatest Little City. Consistantly named one of America's most liveable and safest small towns, LaGrange is a vibrant, thriving, beautiful community of about 30,000 people in west Georgia.

Those of us who live in the city sometimes take America's farmers for granted. As a tribute to Agriculture and the nation's farmers, I've added a page of Agriculture links. Please check them out, particularly the Georgia Farm Bureau link. Agriculture is Georgia's #1 industry. Less than two percent of America's population is responsible for producing the food and fiber we all need. That means each farmer feeds and clothers about 130 people.

The newest addition to this site is Ghost Counties. You've heard of ghost towns. Well, this is the same principle, but on a larger scale. These are counties that no longer exist, for whatever reason. Places like Kinchafoonee County, Georgia and Bad Ax County, Wisconsin. Come see if your state has any ghost counties.
